Needs a southerly swell to reach the beach, offshore in a northerly. It's quite well protected from the wind.
Generally pretty much empty on a week day.
Head from Christchurch towards Akaroa. Take a right onto Kinloch and head up over the hill. Take the turn onto Te Oka Bay road and follow it round. There are several waves around here so if you see something from the road it's worth taking a look at.Access & Parking Info / Cost
