General Description
Telescopes is a consistent left hand reef break in the tropical waters of the Mentawai Islands. The break is only accessible by boat but this does not stop if from getting busy.
Works best on a south west swell with a south east wind. Breaks from 3-10ft, is really shallow at low tide and best surfed at mid tide.
The wave is not too scarey and is a good introduction to surfing a coral reef. Plenty of opportunity to get barreled.
