Wave Quality Rating 3 Type of Wave Beach break Direction of Wave Right & left Bottom Boulders Difficulty Beginners Crowd Level Busy Hazards none General Description Picturesque bay that has both a sandy beach break and a reef. Works on a medium or big swell and is best surfed on a southwesterly offshore wind. It is one of the nearest breaks to Edinburgh so when the surf is good here it can get really busy. It's cold all year round so have a decent 5/3mm wetsuit. Booties, gloves and a hood are required if you want to surf in winter. On bigger days this break is not suitable for beginners.
