Lahinch (Lehinch) has a few different waves. The easiest and the best for beginners is the main beach break. There are left and rights to surf and when it is breaking it is usually pretty mellow. Great to begin with before moving onto some of the better waves in the area. Check out what is happening surfwize at the Lahinch Surf Shop website http://www.lahinchsurfshop.com. They also have a webcam if you want an eyeball surf check.

How to get there Follow the spent wax wrappers all the way to Lehinch. Access & Parking Info / CostPlenty of free parking and access to the break is by a short walk. Where to Stay There are places to stay in Lehinch. The locals are pretty friendly and will see you are ok. Equipment Hire Not sure if you can hire but there are surf shops in the town. When its Flat? Head to the nearest pub and have a nice pint of the black stuff. Have a game of golf at the local course. Lots of lovely walks / hikes to keep you busy if you like to outdoors. If you are staying around County Clare take a couple of hours to have a look at the Cliffs of Moher - well worth a visit.
